MOE Eligibility criteria
The MINDBENZ Olympiad of English (MOE) is open to all school students who wish to improve and showcase their command over the English language. Whether a student is a beginner or an advanced learner, MOE provides an inclusive platform for skill-based learning and recognition.

Who Can Participate in MOE

Students from Classes KG to 8 ● Open to all educational boards: CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, IB, IGCSE, etc. ● Students from India and abroad are eligible ● No minimum grades or prior experience required

MOE Exam Syllabus

Class KG

The Kindergarten Olympiad syllabus focuses on foundational skills like alphabet recognition (capital and small letters), phonics, vocabulary (fruits, animals, colors), basic grammar (a/an, this/that, singular/plural), prepositions (in, on, under, behind), and logical skills (picturebased questions, odd one out, matching words). It aims to develop early literacy, comprehension, and reasoning, providing a strong base for young learners' academic and cognitive growth.

Class 1

Alphabetical Order, Capital and Small Letters, Vowels and Consonants, Opposites and Word Meanings, Rhyming Words and Spelling, Nouns and Pronouns, Verbs and Adjectives, Prepositions (in, on, at, under), Gender (He/She Words) and One-Many, Sentence Formation and Jumbled Sentences, Comprehension (Stories and Poems), Picture Reading and Speaking Skills.

Class 2

Picture Quiz, A World of Word, Synonyms & Antonyms, Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives, Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses (simple present, past, future and all 3 continuous tenses), Usage of do, does & did, Punctuation, Contractions, Jumbled Words, Comprehension.

Class 3

Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs and Adverbs, Adjectives, Prepositions and Conjunctions, Antonyms and Synonyms, Vowels and Consonants, Articles, Word Power, Comprehension, Story writing, Spelling Test, Punctuations, Tenses, Sentence Structure, Spotting the errors, Question tags, Spoken and Written Expression, Picture Composition and short paragraph writing.

Class 4

Word Power, Synonyms & Antonyms, Phrasal Verbs & Idioms, Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives, Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Jumbled Words and sentences, Active & Passive Voice, Narration (only the declarative sentence), Punctuation, Comprehension, Subject–Verb agreement, Spotting the Errors, Spoken and Written Expression, Story writing, letter writing, diary writing, paragraph writing.

Class 5

Parts of Speech (with focus on usage), Tenses, Voice, and Narration, Modals and Determiners, Synonyms, Antonyms, Homonyms & Homophones, Word Order, Jumbled Sentences & Sentence Sequencing, Idioms, Phrasal Verbs, and Collocations, One-word Substitution and Sentence Improvement, Question Tags and Sentence Types, Error Detection and Choosing the Right Filler, Comprehension and Cloze Test, Paragraph and Story Writing, Letter and Notice Writing, Spellings and Vocabulary, Subject-verb Agreement.
