MOM Eligibility criteria
The MINDBENZ Olympiad of Mathematics (MOM) is open to all school students who are interested in developing strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills. Whether you love numbers, puzzles, or advanced concepts, MOM provides a fair and competitive platform to showcase and enhance your mathematical abilities.

Who Can Participate in MOM

Students from Classes KG to 8 ● Open to all boards: CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, IB, IGCSE, etc. ● Students from India and international schools with Mathematics as a subject are welcome ● No prior Olympiad experience required

MOM Exam Syllabus

Class KG

numbers, and simple addition and subtraction. It introduces basic shapes, patterns, and reallife matching. Children learn measurement concepts (big–small, long–short, heavy–light, more–less, full–empty), time (day/night, days of the week), and coins (₹1–₹10). Logical reasoning includes identifying odd ones out, sequencing, matching pairs, and solving simple puzzles.

Class 1

Numbers, Addition, Subtraction, Measurement, Money, Geometrical Shapes and Solids, Time and Calendar.

Class 2

Numbers, Computation Operations: Addition and Subtraction, Computation Operations: Multiplication and Division, Money, Measurement, Geometrical Shapes and Solids.

Class 3

Numbers, Computation Operations, Fractions, Measurement, Money, Data Handling.

Class 4

Numerals, Number Names and Number Sense, Roman Numerals, Computation Operations, Fractions and Decimals, Measurement of Length, Weight, Capacity, Temperature and Money, Conversions, Geometrical Shapes and Solids, Perimeter and Area of Square and Rectangle, Data Handling, Algebra.

Class 5

Numerals, Number Names and Number Sense, Roman Numerals, Computation Operations, Fractions and Decimals, Measurement of Length, Weight, Capacity, Temperature and Money, Conversions, Geometrical Shapes and Solids, Perimeter and Area of Square and Rectangle, Data Handling, Algebra.

Class 6

Knowing our Numbers, Whole Numbers, Playing with Numbers, Factors and Multiples, Basic Geometry Ideas, Fractions, Decimals, Integers, Algebra, Mensuration, Ratio & Proportion, Practical Geometry, Understanding Elementary Shapes, Symmetry, Data Handling.

Class 7

Integers, Fractions & Decimals, Data Handling, Simple Equations, Lines & Angles, The Triangles & its Proportions, Congruence of Triangles, Comparing Quantities, Venn Diagrams, Rational Numbers, Sequence, Practical Geometry, Perimeter & Area, Algebraic Expressions, Exponents & Powers, Symmetry, Visualising Solid Shapes.

Class 8

Rational Numbers, Linear Equations in One Variable, Understanding Quadrilaterals, Data Handling, Squares and Square Roots, Cubes and Cube Roots, Comparing Quantities, Algebraic Expressions and Identities, Visualizing Solid Shapes, Mensuration, Exponents and Powers, Direct and Inverse Proportions, Factorisation, Introduction to Graphs, Percentage, Discount and Taxes, Compound Interest and its Application, Probability, Playing with Numbers.
